Grimm Artisanal Ales is a gypsy brewery based in Brooklyn. Their idea is to brew a single batch of every beer, so if you find a beer you like, make sure to get lots of it there and then, because you might not see it again.
This Thursday they released two new beers and they are being served at bars all around NYC. The beers are called Super going and Cloudbusting. Make sure to find them soon, or they might be gone! I went to St. Gambrinus (who had made a special event for it) to try them out.
Beer: Super Going
This Gose is dry hopped with Mandarina Bavaria and Huell Melon. Orange zest has also been added to boost the citrusy feeling. It is a delicious, tart, fresh and juicy Gose that I want to drink glass after glass in the summer heat. Wow!
Style: Double IPA
This Double IPA is brewed with three different New Zeeland hops; Nelson Sauvin, Waimea and Southern Cross. The colour of this beer is beautiful! It is well executed with some citrusy notes. I found it a little bit on the bitter side.
They are both really good beers, but Super Going Gose totally stole the show for me! I’m going to try to get as much of it as I can, while it’s still out there. Cheers!
