Hello! Here’s my review of Other Half Brewing’s Green Diamonds. It’s an Imperial IPA brewed with Golden Promise malt and Australian Galaxy hops. IBU: 100. ABV: 9,1%
Appearance: Pours a golden color with a big head, with some big bubbles, that disappears quite fast. Builds up a head easy by swirling your glass. A little bit hazy.
Aroma: Sweet, grapefruit, fruity esters. A little bit boozy when you smell it deeply.
Taste: Sweet, citrusy, grapefruit, a little bit boozy when it warms up, a bit lower in carbonation in a good way because it makes it smoother. A subtle bitterness appears in the aftertaste but vanishes quite quickly.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and soft. The lower carbonation which makes it smoother makes it also easier to drink.
Overall: I enjoyed this beer very much. The sweetness from the malt base balances up the big amount of hops, so neither the bitter nor sweet characteristics takes over in any way. Let’s have another one! Cheers!
